Pandua

"The Kings of Spirituality of Gaur & Pandua - old Capital of East India (Bengal, Bihar & Bangladesh)
.........................................................

One of the disciples of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya of Delhi was Hazrat Akhi Sirajuddin Usman .  Hazrat Akhi Siraj was from Gaur or Lakhnauti of Maldah, West Bengal. After completing his studies & spiritual training , he became one of the Khalifa of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya(d.1325) and was given the title of Aina-e-Hind. Hazrat Akhi Siraj left Delhi, during the rule of Mohammed Bin Tughlaq,  and returned back to his native place i.e Bengal for spreading the message of Islam, as per the advice of his Murshid. He is locally referred to as Piran-i-Pir & his tomb is located near the Sagar Dighi.

Hazrat Alaul Haq Pandavi was one of the famous Sufi saints and scholar of Pandua-Gaur during the rule of Shamsuddin Ilyas Shah & Sikander Shah in Bengal. He is believed to be from the family of Sahaba Khalid bin Waleed RA & his family had come from Lahore & settled in Gaur working with the Muslim rulers of that time. He had his Khanqah there during the time when Hazrat Akhi Siraj returned to Gaur. But Hazrat Alaul Haq became a disciple\Mureed of Hazrat Akhi Siraj. and after the death of Hazrat Akhi Siraj (d.1357) , Hazrat Alaul Haq became his Khalifa or spiritual successor.
The chronogram in his tomb is written as
“Ala-ul-Haqq Waasil ( united with God ) shud” , (d.1384)

Another very important Sufi Saint of these places is Hazrat Nur Qutub-e-Alam during the rule of Ghyasuddin Shah . He continued the works & teachings of his father & spiritual guide Hazrat Alaul Haq. He became more famous than his father because he saved the Muslim kingdom from the Hindu King Raja Ganesh who had taken over as the king  of these areas for a short period & was oppressing the Muslims including Shaikhs & Ulemas. In  the chronogram of his tomb is written as “Nur baNur shud “ dated 1415

Syed Ashraf Jehangir Simnani had renounced his kingdom in Simnan, Iran  and travelling extensively for around two years he reached Pandua-Gaur in search of religious knowledge and his spiritual guide. He is believed , while coming to Pandua, to have led the janaza namaz of Makhdum Sharfuddin bin Yahya Maneri of Maner Sharief near Patna.

Syed Ashraf Jehangir Simnani became the disciple of Hazrat Alaul Haq in his Khanqah in Pandua. After completing his studies and spiritual training under Hazrat Ala-ul Haq, Syed Ashraf Jehangir left Pandua and setup his Khanqah in Kichhouchha Sharief near Akbarpur , Uttar Pradesh.

Qadam Rasool the relic of foot prints of Prophet Hazrat Mohammed SAW was most probably taken from the Chillah Khana of Sufi Makhdum Jalaluddin Tabrizi & the Qadam Rasool Masjid was built by Sultan Hussain Shah or his son in around 1542. This famous Sufi was the disciple of Shaikh Abu Said. & he was a follower of Shaikh Shihabuddin Suhrawardy . There is Badi Dargah & Jami Masjid of Baais Hazari which are related to Makhdum Jalaluddin Tabrizi."-Sarshar

1. From start of journey of  Syed Ashraf RA from Simnan to the destination at Pandua, Hazrat Khizr AS had brought messages 17 times to Hazrat Alaul Haq RA informing, " one "Shahbaaz" has already started his journey from Simnan and so many Mashayekhs have placed their nets for him but I am escorting him to you". When SYED Ashraf RA reached near Pandua, Sheikh Alaul Haq RA got up from a nap and said, "boo-e-yaar mee aayad" and got into the "Paalki" (which was gifted to him by his Murshid-e-Haq Hazrat Sirajuddin Akhi RA) and alongwith his many mureeds he proceeded around 1 kos(around mile) ahead to welcome SYED Ashraf RA. When the first glance of SYED Ashraf RA fell on the beautiful face of Sk Alauddin RA, SYED Ashraf RA started running towards him and fell on the feet of Sk Alauddin RA, who lifted him in love, hugged and said, "Cheh khush baashad ke baad az intazarey::Ba ummeed rasad ummeedwarey". -me, from "Tazjkerah-e-Mashayekh-e-Azam" of Maulana Dr Mohammad Aasim Azmi.
